Thank you Ubisoft for sending us this game to review!

Just Dance 2015 is the sixth addition to the popular dancing game series.  The game play is pretty much the same where you have to mimic the movements of the onscreen dancers to the best of your ability.  Depending on your timing (and optional singing) you'll earn stars for your performance and points to unlock songs and mash-ups to dance to.  For each song you complete, you'll acquire a new avatar to use for your profile.

Up to four players can dance together and with the world wide dance competitions you'll be up against many more people online.  Camera enabled users  will see clips of their dance movies and have the option to share it online and on Facebook.  There are community remixes of songs that replace the onscreen dancers with players doing the dance moves instead.

Just Dance 2015
Highlights:

Strong Points: Records your dancing moves and lets you share them via Facebook; compete against players around the world
Weak Points: Game stutters intermittently
Moral Warnings: Suggestive dance moves and lyrics

While the camera support is great, it's not required to enjoy this game.  After I purchased my PS4 camera, I was pleasantly surprised to see the support of a mobile app that replaces the need for a PS4 camera  or a PS3 move controller.  Wii and Wii U users can use a nunchuck controller.  I found that the phone and move controllers scored me higher than using the PS4 camera.  My setup was not ideal due to the PS4 camera having finicky lighting requirements and way too short of a proprietary cable to work with my setup  (Sony make an extension cable!).

Since this is a music centric game, let's talk about the track list.  There are 45 songs featuring popular songs like Pharrell Williams' "Happy", "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry, Frozen's "Let It Go", Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance",  "What Does The Fox Say" by Ylvis, and "Maps" from Maroon 5.  Parents may recognize classics like "Macarena", "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)", "Don't Worry be Happy", and the theme from Tetris.  Some older songs like "Epic Sirtaki" (Zorba the Greek), "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", and Gloria Gaynor's "Never Can Say Goodbye" may appeal to grandparents.   It's safe to say there's something for everyone here.

The dance moves vary from song to song and many songs have alternate versions with different choreography.   Sadly, many of the dance moves are sexualized and require shaking your chest and grabbing your crotch if you want to get a good score. Many of the dancers, both male and female are wearing skimpy outfits.  Since there was a delay in my videos going live on my Facebook site, I am assuming that they are manually moderated and approved.

Besides the suggestive outfits and dance modes, there are some suggestive lyrics worth noting.  5 Seconds Of Summer's "She Looks So Perfect"  talks about underwear, and jeans laying on the ground.  Katy Perry's song "Birthday" mentions partying in a birthday suit.  On a positive note, songs that normally have swearing ("I Love It" and "She Looks So Perfect") have it removed in this game.

While a majority of the songs and dancers are suitable for children, we recommend exercising caution around them.  There are DLC songs like Justin Beiber's "Beauty and a Beat" available for a couple of dollars each.  I'm happy with the built in track list and think the game stands up well enough on its own.   I like the ability to challenge other players and play against people across the globe.  I look forward to posting more goofy videos of myself on Facebook!
