iMemores Digitization Service

Thank you iMemories for digitizing our twenty-five year old wedding VHS tapes!

IMemories has been around for over twenty years and has over one million customers. After checking out their service first hand, I can see why they have such a happy clientele. If you have 8mm film, 16mm film, super 8 film or VHS, Betamax, Hi8, Digital 8, MiniDV, MicroMini, or 8mm tapes laying around, iMemories can quickly and affordably digitize them for you. Once converted, you can easily share viewing links or access your content through many popular apps and streaming platforms ($7.99/month 0r $49.99/year). You can freely download your digitized content. Alternatively, you can get your memories converted to a DVD/Blu-ray for $9.99 per disc or added to an 8GB USB drive for $19.99.

We were provided with a shipping box that contained a prepaid label and two big sealable bags to keep our originals dry during transit. We sent over two VHS tapes from our wedding ceremony twenty-five years ago. Upon arrival, we were notified that the tapes were received and that the digitization process has been started. When the first movie was completed, we were sent a link to view it. In order to view your content, you'll need to create an iMemories account. We also received e-mails when the digitization was complete, when the return label for the originals was generated (with an estimated arrival date), and when the media was delivered. The digitization process only took a couple of days after receipt to complete. Your mileage may vary if you send them lots of tapes!

At the time of this review, iMemories is offering a 50% discount if you share your e-mail address with them. The shipping box with return label is $14.99 (normally $29.99). Alternatively, you can get shipping instructions and use your own box if desired. If you use the coupon code SAVE50 you can get videotapes digitized for $14.99 each, movie films at $14.99 per 50ft, and photos are $0.49 each. AI enhancement is available for $4.99 per videotape or 50ft of film and fifteen cents a photo with the coupon code SAVE50.

Twenty-five years a long time to wait and have our wedding tapes digitized. There are many happy memories and some bittersweet moments seeing family members and friends who have gone to be with the Lord. If you have old tapes laying around and have been meaning to get them modernized, I highly recommend using iMemories.
