These days, global screen time averages at almost 7 hours a day. Admittedly, some of this is ‘work time’, but the rest is often just dreaded evening-time scrolling. Work can give us a lot of stress and by the end of the week, we can be very demotivated, and flat and just want to escape in the weekend to enjoy what time we have before we go back to work. Work isn’t always a stressful thing, but on those particular weeks when you’re feeling rubbish, planning something to unwind and destress will be highly beneficial to you, and your mental health and managing to do something on the weekend without just sobbing about in front of the TV.

Get Out In Nature

When you feel very full in your head, a very stressed one of the best things you can do is get out of the house and go for a walk, not only go for a walk if possible to try and be around nature. There is something about being around nature, and trees which is relaxing and calming. You can take a straw through your nearby forest and you simply just explore what’s going on in the wilderness, listen to the sounds of the birds and animals as well as the wind going through the trees. Walks like this are normally quite quiet and peaceful. If you do have a dog you can also take them with you and give them some nice exercise. A great thing to do is take a flask of hot chocolate or tea, and when you find a nice scenic place to sit whether that’s looking over some fields or maybe a waterfall then you can sit down and have a nice relaxing, hot drink.
