Kyle is your average welfare collecting guy who has a sarcastic British friend named Mel that follows him everywhere he goes.  Even to the bathroom.  Mel is willing to assist Kyle in helping him get on the popular TV show, America's Got Superpowers.   While auditioning, Kyle gets knocked in the noggin one too many times and his superhero alter-ego "The Purple Patriot" takes over and takes Supreme League of Patriots well into the realm of political incorrectness.  

Supreme League of Patriots is a satirical 3D adventure style game that makes fun of pretty much everyone and everything.  While some jokes are good, others are overly drawn out with Mel's constant remarks.  Some of his ramblings are amusing while others fall flat in awkward silence.  Mel acts as the built-in help system. He is useful when in need of a hint or tip.  Thankfully, there are no penalties for accepting help from him.

There are three episodes and each take about two to three hours to complete.   The first episode focuses on Kyle's audition and transformation into The Purple Patriot.  In the second episode The Purple Patriot needs to get his license, patriot mobile, and his crime cave setup.  Sadly, The Purple Patriot bends the rules to get what he needs.  There is some bribery, framing, and making people diabetic by putting grape soda in their hospital IV bags.  

The third episode has some actual crime fighting where The Purple Patriot and Mel assist in stopping a bank robbery taking place.   While The Purple Patriot's motives are still selfish, he does get the flamboyant man that he framed in the previous episode pardoned. 

Like many adventure games there is some kleptomania, but most of the objectives are triggered by conversation.  You cannot combine items unless a required conversation takes place beforehand.  While many of the conversations are entertaining, I still prefer to solve some puzzles without being prodded.  If you do get stuck, you can talk to Mel or just stand idle for a couple of minutes and Mel will give you a hint.   I inadvertently received a couple hints while chatting with friends on Steam.    The help system can be disabled or tweaked to only provide hints when asked.

Supreme League of Patriots did wonders to my Steam account.  By completing all three episodes I have an additional sixty achievements under my belt and my game completion rate went up three percent!  If you're into the trading card/badge deal, each episode drops a few cards. 

You can buy Supreme League of Patriots individually for $5.99 each or buy the whole set for $14.99.  As to which to recommend I'm honestly torn.  The story and characters are engaging but the dialogue can be too much at times.   Sadly, the voice acting is poorly executed and obviously dubbed over in a few spots.  I enjoyed the background music that changed for each character. 

When it comes to the visuals,  the levels are colorful and nicely detailed with funny posters of Jesus, Michael Moore, Anthony Weiner, Charleston Heston, and Sarah Palin.  The character models are 3D rendered and nicely animated. However, sometimes seams and defects can be seen.  

On the moral aspect, this game falls flat as it jabs at everyone and everything.  Besides breaking rules as he pleases, The Purple Patriot is chauvinistic, homophobic, and just plain dumb.  Sexual innuendos are frequently made and there's a condom dispensing machine in the background of the superhero bar.  Like many seedy bars, alcohol and drugs are for sale. Last but not least, the language is distasteful in this game and has every American swearword plus some Spanish insults are provided as well.  Not surprisingly, the Lord's name is used in vain on several occasions.

If you like adventure games with raunchy and political humor you may enjoy  The Supreme League of Patriots.   I've played funnier adventure games, but I can't deny that this one did make me laugh a few times.  It also made me groan on several occasions.  If you don't mind the many moral issues, I'd recommend waiting for a sale before picking it up.  There are better, and cleaner adventure games out there.
