{{/_source.additionalInfo}}Old Trapper Double Eagle Peppered Beef Jerky
Thank you Old Trapper for sending us a review sample!
Food is expensive these days, and beef jerky is no exception. However, Old Trapper is one of the more affordable options out there with their products being as low as eighty-five cents an ounce on Amazon. To put that into perspective, there's a local beef jerky store by me that sells their jerky for three dollars an ounce. I seriously wonder how they stay in business.
Old Trapper sells beef jerky and snack sticks individually at stores or in bulk on their website. When it comes to flavors, they offer Old Fashioned, Hot & Spicy, Peppered and Teriyaki. We were sent the Double Eagle Peppered Beef Jerky to review. The double eagle variety contains eighty coins per 21oz bag. The serving size is four coins, which is enough to satisfy my snack cravings.
Beef jerky is a great snack for road trips, camping, or anywhere else that you won't have access to a refrigerator. Because of the salt content, it will make you thirsty, so make sure you have some water on hand when partaking in it.
Every one of my family members and my boss all enjoyed the meat currency I shared with them. I'm sure they would all eagerly accept seconds if offered. Since my dogs would not be able to provide much input, I opted not to share any with them. I found the pepper seasoning noticeable, but not overpowering. It's nicely balanced. I am definitely curious about Old Trapper's Teriyaki flavoring and may have to pick some up next time I'm in the market for beef jerky.
Old Trapper is available at many stores nearby including Jewel, Walmart, Sam's Club and Farm and Fleet, to name a few. The cheapest option is Amazon if you're not buying it on impulse.
