In WILL: A Wonderful World you are a girl named Myth who can alter people’s lives with the help of her horned-dog, Will. Myth can’t remember much, but according to Will, she’s a god who can re-arrange sentences in plea letters to produce different outcomes for people in need. Even if the letters are addressed to God or Buddha, they still end up in Myth’s mailbox.
Throughout this visual novel styled game, you’ll be introduced to several people, one letter at a time. Some characters write more often than others and many of them contribute to each other’s story. While some of the letters are light-hearted, most of them deal with horrible instances of abuse and violent acts.
One of the characters you’ll get to assist is a homeless cat named Spottie. Life on the streets is tough, but other characters have it worse like Park Sang-Gun who is placed in a mental institution after witnessing his mother being killed by his father. To make things even worse, he gets sexually abused by a doctor there. While some events can’t be changed, you can alter how the character reacts to the situation and improve their lives even if it’s minimal.
Strong Points: Unique game premise; interesting characters
Weak Points: Some of the solutions are not clear, but there are walkthroughs available
Moral Warnings: Strong language (including-bombs) and blaspheming; sex before marriage; cross-dressing; homosexual relationships; rape; sexual abuse of children; blood and violence; drinking and drug use; your character believes that she’s a god; references to other gods
There are love triangles, murders, gay relationships, and simple misunderstandings to work through. Though most of the game is merely text, the scenes described are very graphic including dismembering of body parts. Since one of your writers is a serial killer, there is a lot of violence. Another character gets involved with a gang that partakes in human trafficking. As you read the text, some words will be highlighted to explain them a bit more. One of the terms I learned about was a human stick which is a person whose arms and legs are removed to make them even more sexually vulnerable.
Some scenes are drawn and the art style is great. There is a drawing of a couple kissing, and the child being sodomized is drawn as well. Most of the violent scenes just show splotches of blood on the screen. A shower room with two men barely clothed is featured as well. One of the characters is a female assassin who wears tight-fitting clothing.

The scenarios vary in difficulty. If it’s only one letter you only have a few possible outcomes to work with. Depending on your choices, you’ll either get a bad or a graded ending. I aimed for S endings whenever possible. However, some of the better endings are not available until a previous arc in another character’s life is completed. Many letters are linked and you will have to work on them simultaneously by dragging sentences between them. Sometimes there is an order requirement to take into consideration, but most of the time you can re-arrange sentences freely.
One of the more challenging letters was the one where I had to respond in Morse code. The dictionary guide of the Morse code alphabet was handy, but the confusing part was trying to figure out the abbreviation I needed to state that I was on the 4th floor. I found this Steam guide quite helpful. For those wondering what the solution was, it’s - . . - . . . . -, or X4.
WILL: A Wonderful World is a very unique game filled with many interesting characters. As good as their stories are, many of them are grim. If you’re not put off by the mature content and enjoy visual novels, you’ll probably like this game.
