{{/_source.additionalInfo}}Batman: Vengeance (PC)

System Requirements
OS: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP CPU: 450 MHz RAM: 128 MB RAM HDD: 800 MB free hard disk space VIDEO: 3D Graphics card with 32 MB Memory SOUND: 16 bit DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card AGE: Everyone
Just like all the Batman comics and movies, you are Bruce Wayne/Batman will all the cool toys. You have your top secret hide out, the bat cave, the batmobile and the batcopter. Together with Batgirl you will fight foes like Mr. Freeze and the Joker.
Combat
Although you have many neat weapons, they are not always the answer. Sneaking around and handcuffing/netting your foes will make things a lot easier on yourself. If you do need firepower you have batarangs to stun or disarm bad guys. The electric batarangs come in handy, especially if hand to hand combat doesn\'t work (like the screen shot above). You also have stunners and remote chargers at your disposal too. To reach higher areas you will find your batgrapple quite useful.
Camera Angles
In this game you can play in first and third person perspective. I found the first person view easier play in. In this mode only you are allowed to change weapons. There are certain things that can be done in certain view modes and it will change automatically for you. I found the camera angling in the third person mode to be pretty poor and hard to maneuver in.
Game Levels
There are four levels in this demo. There\'s a training level which teaches you how to use your batgrapple, batarangs and combat moves. You will also learn how to use stealth and diving. Both the stealth and diving modes took me a while to figure out. The controls are a bit difficult to grasp out on your own. Later on in the game you get to fly your batcopter and use many keyboard controls making it difficult to maneuver. The joystick makes that level much more bearable. In the second level of the demo you are tracking down Mr. Freeze. Along the way you get to rescue frozen guards and fight his goons. After you track him down, you get into a helicopter chase with him. In the last level you get to rescue batgirl on a train. You have to disable the trains controls before her health bar runs out. Don\'t let the green guys slow you down!
Appropriate?
From a Christian standpoint, this game is rated E for everyone. The only this to consider is the violence. There is no blood and it cartoon/comic style fighting.
Overall experienceEase of use
The game was easy to install. There is Multilanguage support which I think is cool. The graphics are pretty good. They run real smooth and have a simple design, comic/cartoon like. The sound effects and voice acting was well done. For controls you are using the mouse and keyboard. There are many confusing key commands, but often times they can land you some nice combo moves. The dual camera perspective idea is nice but poorly implemented. The game ran pretty stable for me with no crashes. This game is ported from PS2 and Gameboy. It is real fun and pretty clean. I just wish the interface wasn\'t so rough around the edges.
