Thank you Mikale for sending us this game to review!

Easter is here and for many that brings forth images of Easter bunnies, decorated eggs and baskets full of candy.  Pogo Bunny is a good bunny that wants to thwart the evil bunny’s plan of ruining Easter for little boys and girls.  The evil bunny is throwing bad eggs for the kids to collect and you must smash these eggs before the kids grab them.  You had better aim carefully because smashing the good eggs will lower your health and ultimately end your game.

If the Easter bunny isn’t enough to get a child’s attention, the bright colors in the game will.  The graphics are really colorful and the good eggs are bright and easy to distinguish from the bad dark brown eggs.  The gathering area is fairly large and there’s never a shortage of eggs to collect.  It’s gets to be a bit more challenging to dodge the good eggs when they build up, so you can't slack off.

Highlights:

Strong Points: Easy to play, colorful graphics, smooth controls
Weak Points: No variety or change in difficulty
Moral Warnings: Only eggs are harmed in this game

The controls are super smooth and involve tilting your device to the right or the left.  The harder the tilt, the longer the jump.  With controls this easy, this game is suitable for people of all ages.

The music is pleasant but gets repetitive rather quickly.  I’m sure kids won’t mind as much as the adults will.  The sound effects are fitting and the sound of smashing eggs never gets tiring no matter how old you are.

The title mentions that this is an Easter edition of the game; I’m assuming a season neutral version will be released soon.  This game is clean and no real eggs are harmed in playing it.  From a moral standpoint, I think this game is cute, but it doesn't capture the true meaning of Easter.  I don’t push the Easter bunny or Santa on my kids and we celebrate the Lord’s presence on our planet instead.  No matter what your beliefs are, there’s nothing objectionable to be found in this title.

Score Breakdown:
Higher is better
(10/10 is perfect)

Game Score - 68%
Gameplay - 10/20
Graphics - 8/10
Sound - 6/10
Stability - 5/5
Controls - 5/5 Morality Score - 100%
Violence - 10/10
Language - 10/10
Sexual Content - 10/10
Occult/Supernatural - 10/10
Cultural/Moral/Ethical - 10/10

The biggest drawback in my opinion is that this game doesn't offer any challenge or variety.  The whole premise is to dodge the bad eggs; the difficulty doesn't seem to ramp up and there is no change or multiple levels.   It’s just a matter of seeing how long you can survive.  The only reason to come back to the game is to improve upon your previous score.

I have played the game and mastered the concepts and wasn't compelled to go back to it.  I then let a couple of my kids play it and they have not requested to play it again either.  I just don’t think this game has much more to offer than a few plays.  Thankfully, the asking price of 99 cents is reasonable.
