Parallel Low Profile Adjustable Pillow

Thank you Parallel for sending us a Low Profile pillow to review!

Many years ago while shopping at Sam's Club my husband spotted a twin pack of Bamboo brand pillows on sale and convinced me to buy them. If memory serves, they were around $60 and at the time (currently sell for $199), the most expensive pillows we ever bought. Before then I would typically buy cheap $10 pillows that were fluffy when I bought them and flat as a pancake in a month or two. Combining two retired pancake pillows would make a decent fluffy pillow for guests in a pinch.

I love my Bamboo pillow as it stays fluffy due to its crushed memory foam filling. I often give it a good fluff before going to bed and I'm ready to enter into dreamland. I have often wondered if a better pillow exists. I recently reviewed the Honeydew body pillow and found it to meet my fluffiness standards by folding it in half. I have since given it to my son after reviewing it.

The Parallel pillow is different from my beloved Bamboo one in many ways. They're available in two models (high and a low profile). Since I love fluffy pillows, I probably would have opted for the high-profile one if given a choice. With that said, the low profile one is still quite comfortable and even moreso after adding more fluff to it. Parallel will send you a gallon bag size of fluff for free (limit one per pillow purchase) if you're not satisfied with the amount of fluff in your pillow.

Parallel pillows are filled with Blutech Fiber Fill which is a blend of hypoallergenic downy fibers and precision-cut gel visco foam. This combination is comfortable and offers good airflow. The inner cover is embedded with ParaPur silver ions that are super effective at destroying odor-causing microbes. The Tencel outer cover provides good airflow to dissipate heat.

With each pillow purchased, Parallel donates a pillow to those in need. Currently they're partnering with Salvation Army to provide pillows for displaced people. Parallel offers a ninety-day return window if you're not happy with your purchase. As of this review, both pillow models are listed at $89.99 on their website.

Parallel strives to be the world's kindest pillow. Their products are earth-friendly and I think it's cool that they donate a pillow for each one purchased. As for dethroning my Bamboo pillow, it's a pretty tight race. I find that my Bamboo pillow has a little more support, but the Parallel pillow is just soft and fluffy. I have used it for several nights with no regrets. In all honesty, I don't want to part with either pillow as I haven't made up my mind yet. I guess I'll have to sleep on it. (Ba Dum Tss!)
