Sometimes, games don't need to have a deep, compelling narrative. So long as they let you have fun, that's all you need. The Match-3 game Funny Pets won't wow anyone with narrative complexity, but it's certainly fun.
The story of the game is told in a series of non-subtitled pictures. A bunch of pets who lived in harmony got caught up in a big tornado that flung them all over, and now they are trying to get back home. And so, that's where you come in, helping free them from the various Match-3 boards they are stuck in so they can head back to their village.

Strong Points: Togglable difficulty for all levels of skill
Weak Points: Rather easy even with time and move limits
Moral Warnings: None
The actual gameplay utilizes a hexagonal board and a "link tile" Match-3 system. In stock Match-3 games on a square tile board, you must line up 3 or more tiles to clear them from the board. In the variant used by this game, with a hexagonal board, you must use the mouse to select all tiles of the same type that border each other in 3 or more links to make them leave the board. Otherwise, the same conventions of regular Match-3 gameplay apply.
The game has three types of difficulty. A timer, for beating levels in a timed limit, a move limit, needing to clear the board in a certain amount of moves (which some bonus move tiles you can use to extend the limit), or relax mode, which has no limits and lets you play at your own pace. The game allows the player to change this at any time, so there is no particular penalty for whatever you prefer. There are around 100 or so levels, so this will provide some fun for awhile no matter the difficulty chosen.

Graphically, this title utilizes a cartoony, hand-drawn style. The pets are represented by what looks like super-deformed head icons on the board, and the rest of the art looks like something out of a children's story. The music and sound effects use a lot of flute and music box stylings, giving the game a relaxed feel and being rather soothing to the ear.
The game is controlled almost entirely with the mouse, with the keyboard only used for inputting the player name. In stability terms, this game runs fine on Windows and can run on Linux via Steam Proton with little trouble.
Morally, I'm pleased to say this game is flawless. There is nothing depicted I'd be afraid to show anyone of any age group.
Technically, it's a simple, fun, and well put together game. Morally, there is nothing objectionable. Overall, this game is worth purchasing by itself or as part of a bundle if you love Match-3 games.
