CabinZero 28L Classic Cabin Backpack

CabinZero 28L Classic Cabin Backpack
Manufactured by: CabinZero
Dimensions: 42 X 32 X 25 cm
Price: $64.90
Thank you CabinZero for providing us with an Infinity Blue review sample!
CabinZero was founded in 2012 after the CEO, Neil, got tired of lugging giant, impractical bags around the world. Like Neil, the employees at CabinZero prefer to pack light with hand luggage that doesn’t need to leave their side. Not only does this method save time and money, there is less chance of your belongings getting lost if they are always with you. Is learning how to pack light worth the time and money savings? CabinZero seems to think so!
The CabinZero Classic Backpacks are available in three sizes: 28L, 36L, and 44L. We were sent the smallest size which, is still big enough to carry my 15.6” work laptop. It’s a tight fit with the top corners not being as protected as I prefer, but it gets the job done. The trouble with traveling with laptop backpacks is that airlines have different size requirements when it comes to carry on luggage. CabinZero luggage is approved by major airlines to be accepted in the cabin or under the seat. You can double-check specific airline requirements on their website to verify compliance.
Strong Points: Well designed for hassle-free travel
Weak Points: 15.6” laptop edges seem to be vulnerable
In the event that you do need to part ways with your backpack, it comes with an Okoban tracking tab. You can register your bag for free on Okoban’s website. Registering is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a way to proceed with the registration process without being subscribed to Okoban’s newsletter.
The build quality of the CabinZero Classic Backpack is quite impressive. The fabric is sturdy and built to last. The backpack straps are lined and padded for comfort. My only suggestion here would be to have a clip that connects the straps horizontally for back support like many laptop backpacks offer. The sides of the backpack have two connecting straps each so you can carry the bag sideways if desired.
The zipper looks very sturdy and I like how you have the option of looping in a padlock (not included) for extra security. Inside of the backpack you’ll find an elastic pouch that is ideal for securing and protecting a laptop slid into it. On the opposite side there are two zippered pouches with one of them being sealed and the other ventilated. There is another zippered compartment on the outside of the backpack as well.

Add-ons like 2.5L tech pouches and minimal bags are also available at checkout if needed. As of this review there is a special that subtracts 20% when buying two backpacks and 25% off when buying three or more. If you don’t mind black, you can purchase the CabinZero Classic 36L on Amazon for $76.49 and have it delivered via Prime. Shipping is free on CabinZero’s website if you don’t mind waiting up to twelve days for delivery.
There’s a wide variety of colors to choose from on CabinZero’s website. As of this review, the LGBTQ+ rainbow design is on sale for $20 less than the other colors. If you want to save money but stick with a solid color, you can save 15% by subscribing to the CabinZero newsletter.
There are many reasons to feel good about your CabinZero purchase. They stand behind their products with a thirty-day return policy and a lifetime warranty. Given the quality build, I don’t anticipate needing to use their warranty claim service anytime soon. CabinZero products are made in China or Vietnam and are not manufactured in sweat shops. The factory sites are inspected often to guarantee the welfare of the employees. In 2025 CabinZero was awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. Lastly, CabinZero gives back 1% of annual sales to support environmental nonprofit organizations.
