Ragdoll Rage: Heroes Arena is a silly Player Vs Player (PVP) crawler where you fight against physics as well as weapons. There’s no backstory; your only goal is to survive the battle and collect your rewards to spend toward new characters and upgrades to weapons/power-ups.
Upon launching Ragdoll Rage: Heroes Arena, you’ll have the option to do PVP Local, Online, Free Battle, Deathmatch, or Play to compete in the campaign leagues. Sadly, the online multiplayer seems to be dead so you’ll have to fight against somewhat dumb bots or nearby friends/family. The Deathmatch mode has four fighters while the other game modes only support two. I like how external forces like an air raid or giant axe comes swinging down if the matches take too long.

Strong Points: Silly and fun gameplay
Weak Points: Nobody to play against online; bots are not that smart
Moral Warnings: Blood, violence, and dismemberment; some male characters are shirtless
The Free Battle mode is merely a quick match that will use the best of three rounds to determine a winner. If you’re alone and in the mood to fight, why not do the campaign mode which has arranged matches and you’ll unlock new weapons and character skins along the way? The campaign has two leagues: Banana League and One Punch League. Despite the name, it takes more than one punch to take out your foes.
Come to think of it, I don’t believe it’s possible to punch in this game. You can fling your character’s body and do damage that way. Some levels have spikes and you can win a battle by pushing your opponents into them. There are shield power-ups and one of the shields gives you spikes and with that enabled merely touching your enemy injures them.
The weapon variety is pretty good with guns, rocket launchers, saw blade shooters, and goo guns. Jet Packs are worth grabbing to help you navigate the levels easier. Trampolines are often present too.

With weapons comes violence. There are red circles where injuries take place, but it doesn’t appear to be liquid. Limbs do detach, but it’s more cartoony than gory. The ESRB ratings mentions alcohol, but I don’t recall seeing any. Some levels have poison barrels, that’s the only liquid/goo I noticed.
Whether you win or lose, you’ll earn money. You can buy new skins for your fighter including a Trump inspired one named Donnie T. Weapon and power-up upgrades are worth investing in too. You can also earn money buy playing daily, unlocking achievements or completing challenges.
Between unlocking characters and upgrading weapons and power-ups, there’s a lot to do in Ragdoll Rage: Heroes Arena. If you’re looking to play against people online, you’ll have to continue your search. However, if you’re looking for a fun way to beat up dumb bots or friends/family, Ragdoll Rage: Heroes Arena has you covered.
