DROP THE BOOM! TEARDOWN’S ONLINE MULTIPLAYER UPDATE BLASTS ONTO STEAM TODAY

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1167630/Teardown/

Tear down together with up to 12 players across a sprawling variety of game content, including Sandbox Mode, co-op campaign, competitive multiplayer, and endless mod experiences!

MALMÖ, Sweden – March 12, 2026 – Let’s raise a sledge and tear this thing down! Tuxedo Labs is happy today to officially release the long-awaited online multiplayer update for Teardown on PC via Steam. The largest free update for the award-winning destructible heist game since its launch, today’s MASSIVE new patch finally gives players the power to heist together in the original base game’s campaign in co-op. Players can also go head-to-head across an ever-growing number of dev- and community-made multiplayer game modes, as well as create a variety of maps, weapons, and more using Teardown’s robust collection of modding tools!

One of the community’s most highly requested features, the new online multiplayer update gives up to 12 players on Steam the freedom to experience the fully destructible, voxel-simulated world and realistic physics of Teardown together in any number of ways, including:

Sandbox Mode: Get creative (or destructive!) with unlimited resources together in Sandbox Mode.

Co-op Campaign: Play the base game’s campaign with 40 missions in co-op, discovering unique and emergent gameplay possibilities together.

Competitive Multiplayer: Battle it out with multiplayer classics like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag, both on the game’s original built-in maps, as well as on any of the many, many mod-developed maps.

Two New Official Maps: Discover new arenas for chaos and destruction on Splitfield Estate (featuring the built-in game mode Treasure Thieves) and Cratertown, designed to be mirrored for team-based game modes.

Explore Endless Mod Adventures: Explore an ever-growing list of multiplayer community mods via the in-game mod library, with hundreds of multiplayer mods like The Floor Is Lava, Battle Royale, Vehicle Sumo, and Prop Hunt available to play right now, and even more on the way!

Or Make Your Own: Build your own new cooperative and competitive game modes, maps, tools, and more thanks to new multiplayer functionality in the Teardown API. The in-game modding tools make it easy to imagine and pull off your own creations and extend the Teardown experience even further.

With the entire base game’s map collection and an expansive library of community-made maps on the other end of your sledgehammer, the possibilities are nearly limitless. It’s the perfect way to hang out and smash things up with friends!

Today’s online multiplayer update for PC is only the beginning! Multiplayer is expected to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year. The team also plans to release a new high-octane multiplayer racing experience for Teardown.
