Snacktorio Brings Real Cooking Logic to Factory Automation at Steam Next Fest
TNgineers, a solo developer, is bringing Snacktorio to Steam Next Fest with a playable demo that applies real cooking logic to factory automation.
Snacktorio is a PC factory-cooking automation game where players design and scale automated kitchens to feed enormous beasts threatening the world.
Instead of manufacturing abstract resources, players turn recipes into structured production lines - routing ingredients through pipes and machines to cook and serve gourmet dishes.
Every ingredient follows culinary logic. Some spoil over time, some contaminate others, and some react when heated or combined.
A single miscalculation can ripple through the entire kitchen, forcing a redesign of how systems connect and flow.
Beyond optimization, Snacktorio introduces a fantasy world and lore where food is what keeps the peace.
The monsters don’t eat raw materials or mass output - they demand carefully prepared gourmet dishes inspired by cuisines from all over the world.
Each new island adds ingredients, mechanics, and logistical challenges, increasing the complexity of the systems required to keep the kitchens running.
As factories expand and orders grow more demanding, players must balance throughput, timing, and layout design while uncovering why the beasts are becoming hungry again.
The Snacktorio demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest.
