Prime Monster: A Political Survival Roguelike Comes to Steam Next Fest

Cavalier Game Studios, creators of The Sexy Brutale, have announced Prime Monster, a satirical roguelike card battler about survival in a parliament of literal monsters.

Set in a dystopian legislature populated by Werewolves, Scarecrows, Goblins and other ambitious creatures, players must secure crucial votes while managing scandals, rebellious colleagues and mounting political pressure in order to cling to the top job.

Each run players learn and upgrade tactics and cards in order to pass bills with crushing majorities, make decisions to please (or silence) the public, hire dubious political aides and purchase illicit tools of the political dark arts.

Survive long enough and win multiple elections and the final prize will be theirs - a legacy as the greatest Prime Monster who ever stalked the nation.

The demo casts players as the Leader of the Opposition in the Fractured Kingdom, offering an introduction to the game’s political survival loop.

A playable demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest, alongside the official announcement trailer.
