Leamington Spa, UK – 23 October 2025: Two huge games from two tiny teams are launching today! Announced as part of Twitch Galaxies, today marks the 1.0 launch of Escape the Backrooms on PC via Steam, as well as the console release of Instruments of Destruction on PlayStation®5 (PS5™) and Xbox Series X|S.


Escape the Backrooms is a chaotic horror co-op game where up to four players traverse seemingly endless corridors and strange environments taken from the lore of the megahit Backrooms creepypasta. Crafted by solo developer Fancy Games and launched in Early Access in 2022, it is now fully realised with over 30 levels, multiple endings, graphical improvements, and other quality of life improvements, with a small team of enthusiastic developers joining Fancy Games to help create the 1.0 content.

As part of the launch, further development of the game will be handed over to established studio Blackbird Interactive, who also assisted with the final push on the 1.0 launch of the game, with Fancy Games remaining as a consultant on future updates. Escape the Backrooms is available now on PC via Steam, with console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S coming 2026.

Launching today on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Instruments of Destruction is developed by Radiangames, a solo development studio founded 15 years ago by Luke Schneider, the lead technical designer on Red Faction: Guerilla. Get behind the controls of over 130 wild and wondrous machines, causing total mayhem and levelling islands in mind-bogglingly glorious explosive action.

Take on over 50 campaign missions and get to grips with your instruments, then revisit these maps in Challenge Mode with new vehicles and harder objectives. Or go your own way, trying out the Build & Destroy campaign with 25 new missions before editing and building your own vehicles for endless destructive fun in the Sandbox. Now available on consoles, Instruments of Destruction is also available on PC via Steam.

Escape the Backrooms is a 1-4 player co-op horror exploration game. Traverse 30+ eerie backrooms levels while avoiding entities and other dangers. Try to escape but be warned: survival isn't guaranteed.
