In the Earth vs. Mars demo, a turn-based strategy game of alien invasion and genetic engineering, you must lead Earth’s forces in a desperate fight for survival. Using the Splice-O-Tron, you'll combine fly, cheetah and rhino DNA with human “volunteers” and lead them alongside Earth’s regular forces into battle on three skirmish maps.

This is a small introductory look at the game. These skirmish onboarding missions are aimed at providing a fun first time experience to players and giving them a taste of what Earth vs Mars has to offer.

The free demo includes:

Three tactical skirmish maps:

Downtown Showdown – tight, close quarters fight against the Martians and is an ideal introduction to the game.
Independence Bay – is a combined-arms city-capturing clash over land and sea.
Hazy Hills – a nighttime mission where enemies lurk in the Fog of War, ready to catch your soldiers unaware.

Three unique commanders, each with two special abilities:

• Annabel Corman:

An ex-GMA engineer who believes she was once abducted. Annabel has been living in an R.V. in Nevada, collecting evidence of the existence of UFOs and scavenging alien technology from wreckage she finds in the desert.

Annabel’s FIELD MEDIC ability restores health to all damaged friendly units while her DRAIN ENEMY ability drains all enemy units' special ability meter, restarting their ability cooldown.

• Colonel Marcus Shaw:

Colonel Shaw is an ex-test pilot and was lead astronaut on the Mars Explorer One mission that inadvertently triggered the Martian Invasion. He now leads the Global Military Alliance taskforce battling the Martian menace.

Colonel Shaw’s REINFORCEMENTS ability spawns a tank at the HQ, and an infantry unit in every city belonging to the player. His STRIKEBACK ability deals a small amount of damage to all visible enemy units.

• Eric:

Eric Jones was a regular GMA soldier fighting the Martians. Until Colonel Shaw volunteered him for the first test of the Splice-O-Tron. He survived but is now part… something. He’ll be fine. Probably.

ERIC’s SPLICE BOOST ability gives spliced units an additional 50% attacking and defensive strength. With the BLOODLUST ability, any infantry unit that survives combat gains health equal to the amount of damage it dealt.
