Kill the Politician in Season 4.0 of The Outlast Trials

A New Trial Environment, an updated Rebirth system, new MK- Challenges & more—now available to all Reagents!

MONTRÉAL, Québec. Tuesday, July 15th 2025 — When the world tells you you’re unnatural, nurture your talents. This was the ethos embraced by Otto and Arora Kress—conjoined twins, lovers, and heirs to a fortune made by the reckless chemical production and experimentation of their magnate father. Brilliant but sadistic, these killers have arrived with Season 4.0 of The Outlast Trials as new Prime Assets, bringing with them devastating chain saw takedowns, incapacitating toxic attacks, and precise 360° vision. They stalk the Shopping Mall — the grand intersection of American culture and capitalist commerce, and a new Trial Environment for Reagents to further their political education. Along with new MK-Challenges, a revamped and deepened Rebirth system, and additional DLC cosmetics packages, Season 4.0 of The Outlast Trials boasts a host of new horrors, courtesy of the Murkoff Corporation.

Otto and Arora share one body, and a murderous bloodlust for their lessers. As bastions of the wealthy elite, they arrive with a mandate to therapize every Reagent they encounter to a lethal degree. Their unique anatomy grants them a 360 degree vantage to find and pursue their victims. From afar, Arora wields vials of highly toxic chemicals to induce vomiting—and can string up these flasks to create her own noise makers. Otto appreciates a more personal touch with his chainsaw.

The Kress Twins dwell in The Shopping Mall, the newest Trial Environment. Decorated with banners, flyers and other patriotic iconography from a rally held for the Kress’ puppet candidate, the Shopping Mall is a celebration of the twin powers of corruption and consumerism. As well, the Mall is the home to a new Story Trial: Kill the Politician, where Reagents are tasked with the noble goals of civic duty. This update introduces two new MK-Challenges: Get Out the Vote and Sentence the Persecuted, for those Reagents who wish to make a difference in their communities.
Season 4 also revamps the Rebirth system, which now offers two different paths: the original Rebirth for solo players, and Communal Rebirth, newly designed for team play.

The new Rebirth drops the players in a random Trial with 3 unique variators:

The Mirror Variator, which shifts perspective for all Trials
The Rebirth Variator, where each player must complete two secondary objectives on top of the regular Trial objective
The Classified Variator, randomized to force Reagents to adapt or die.

Only those who survive Rebirth may witness what the Reagents become once returned to the world outside the facility…
Capping off the new content featured in Season 4 is the New Deluxe Catalog for Project Diarchy, filled with 10 pages of new exclusive cosmetic items, available for purchase using Murkoff Coins, earned from the Onboarding Catalog and other Deluxe Catalog. Reagents can acquire Stamps by completing Trials and Tasks, then use the Stamps to acquire Deluxe Catalog items, which are always available permanently. Season 4 also adds an additional 4 DLC cosmetic packs, each available for purchase at $4.99 USD.

Following the launch of Season 4, The Outlast Trials now sets its sights on Fall 2025 for the next major update, just in time for Halloween, including a Limited-Time Event, and a new game mode! And for a limited time, in celebration of the launch of Project Diarchy, The Outlast Trials will participate in select sales events and promotions across all platforms.
