I'm right now on the last day of a week-long work trip to Canada, with flight back to Europe scheduled for tomorrow.
Tired, and not looking forward to my trans-Atlantic flight, I fired up Steam on my laptop just to think I'll play a bit to pass the time.
I happened to spot some familiar names, right now Cheryl and DeepFreeze32, online on my friends list. Kinda awakened me to think 'Hmm, I sure haven't opened CCG in a long while - I wonder how are things...'
Well it's kinda odd seeing that my "Last visit was: Sat Apr 11, 2015 5:01 am" - over ten years ago. Life goes by so fast.
Back then I had one new-born daughter. Now I have three. Married, progressed in my career, etc. Typical hectic years of parents of young kids.
Spiritually probably not in the best of places, as I have struggled with feeling down. But trying my best, to be a good dad and a husband.
But, I'd imagine it'd be nice to have a forum post saying, that I felt a bit elevated just popping by, even if the forums are not too active.
I had two private messages - from Cheryl, wishing me happy birthday in 2017 and 2018! Much appreciated, sorry I didn't respond
Small kind gestures can go a long way. I guess that's a good thing to remember when playing or interacting online.
Still playing games from time to time, hope you're all doing well - if you happen to have somebody called Syksy on your Steam friends list, that's me.
I didn't really have anything special to say, just... feeling strange that a decade passed by so fast.
