Cosmic horror card game The Horror at Highrook launches for PC in May
New trailer introduces team of occult investigators; tabletop-inspired RPG participating in Lovecraftian Days event this week
Cambridge, United Kingdom - April 14, 2025 - Solo developer, Nullpointer Games is today pleased to announce that its upcoming occult card crafting narrative RPG, The Horror at Highrook, will launch for PC via Steam on Thursday, May 1.
The announcement was made during the Lovecraftian Days showcase in which a brand-new Release Date trailer was premiered.
A unique, enigmatic and cunning puzzle box of a game, The Horror at Highrook invites players to explore the Highrook Manor in search of the Ackerons - a noble family, who have vanished into thin air, following rumours of shadowy pacts and dangerous dealings with the dark.
Players will lead and manage a team of occult investigators - Vitali: The Scholar, Astor: The Mecanist, Atticus: The Hireling and Caligar: The Plague Doctor - into the dark, yawning maw of the Ackeron estate. As they explore the accursed grounds, they will meet otherworldly entities and craft powerful protections in a bid to uncover the fate of the missing family.
The Horror at Highrook delivers deeply rewarding tabletop inspired gameplay, featuring tactile and beautifully illustrated card-driven mechanics, and a mysteriously engrossing gothic-horror narrative that satisfyingly unfurls in front of the player as the dimly-lit manor begins to shed its secrets.
