Transit-Oriented Beavers : Timberborn’s Next Update Gets Release Date, New Trailer Showcasing Transport Features

Pick Up the Pace with New Faction-Specific Transit Infrastructure!

As part of the Triple-I Initiative, Timberborn developer Mechanistry revealed the release date for their hit citybuilder’s next content update. As Timberborn winds its way towards 1.0, its two beaver factions receive unique public transit tools to support the ever-growing colonies of their lumberpunk dreams! Timberborn Update 7: Ziplines & Tubeways is coming to Steam on May 8th, 2025.

New Features

Ziplines | Extra-fast travel above terrain, connecting Stations with two-way networks high above your settlement. Folktail faction-specific.

Tubeways | Much faster travel built using modular segments that adapt their shape as new lines are connected. Tubeways can travel skyward, and under water and badwater. Iron Teeth faction-specific.

3D Terrain and Tunnels | Beavers learned how to dig tunnels, and the terrain blocks now go on all solid surfaces! Roofs, platforms, and overhangs allow the cultivation of crops and forestry on them, enabling the creation of caves and hanging gardens, all viewable with the improved layer tool.

Modding Improvements and more | Mechanistry continues to make modding Timberborn easier and more approachable for community members. Update 7 also rebalances the game and adds several Quality-of-Life features such as area selection measurement.
