15. Proverbs 2:10-11 - What preserves and keeps the wise? discretion and understanding
My favorite verse in this chapter is 2:12 Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.
I hate catching people in a lie and those who are selfish and trying to smooth talk their way out of things. I'm thankful for wisdom and discretion to see through their lies.

1) Search for wisdom as though looking for a hidden treasure.
2) Finding wisdom will allow the finders to understand the fear of the Lord, and find God’s knowledge.
3) The Lord.
4) “...He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly”
5) “He keepeth the paths of Judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
6) When you have wisdom, and find knowledge pleasant to the soul, then discretion will preserve you.
Favorite verse: If thou seekest her as silver, and searches for her as for hid treasures; then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2: 4-5.
Mostly becasue I need a reminder that wisdom isn't easy to find, that it won't simply come to me as I drink coffee one morning. I need to find it, search as for hidden treasure.
Did it seem as though verse 10 listed requirements for the rest of the chapter?

I think it summed up the beginning of the chapter quite nicely but the end went into discussing wickedness and righteousness. I love this book

Aye.
Besides the fact it's written beautifully, it's also extremely practical. Which is saying something considering how long ago it was written.

Favorite verse[s]: 3: 5-7: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD and depart from evil.
Because many times, I want to forge my own way, and ignore what God has said. I want to do what I think is right and give God no thought until afterwards. I should let God guide me.
