that's been on the market since last June. I'm living in my parent's basement with my wife and two kids since November so I could start my new job. Money is ultra tight and there's no hope for our own place until that house sells. Stress level is at an all time high and I'm feeling very discouraged.

I admit I'm questioning where God is in all this. I know I was called into ministry and I uprooted my family to pursue that call but yet I feel that this burden of my house is slowly crushing me.
I feel like Job when he was standing in the field saying "I cry out to you, God, but you do not answer; I stand up, but you merely look at me."
I have faith that my God can do anything but I'm left here wondering why he hadn't and if he cares. Kinda an interesting dilemma, no?

Here is an update: possible land contract option before us. A guy gave us a verbal offer that was too low -- we'd end up upside down on our mortgage if we accepted -- so we sent in a counter proposal yesterday. We heard he really likes the house and it would be nice to get out from under it. Keep praying please!

Got back a counter to the counter and are seeking clarification on one major point. If he clears it up in the way we are praying ($700 monthly on principal a month) then we are accepting the offer and moving forward. If he meant $700 monthly total then we have to send yet another tweak to the whole thing.

Had to send back a counter to his counter of our counter. Hopefully will hear back tomorrow. At this point I would be surprised if they backed down over the $50 difference between their proposal and our final counter (but it's important to is so we don't end up upside-down on the mortgage).

Terms have been agreed to - paperwork to sign should be rolling in today! Praise God we are finally out from under this house. We are looking already for an apartment that we can move into soon and move out of my parent's house!

God just continues to move and work in this house situation. We found a place to rent - checking it out tomorrow - the landowner really likes us and has lowered the rent $75 since I am in ministry (without us even asking). If it all looks good, we can move in this weekend!
praying we get some muscle to help us out!!
