From what I've seen, the OUYA may picking itself back up. And they also have a limited edition Holiday Bundle coming. They also fixed the issues with the controller, AND the Ouya 2.0 is on its way next year.
What do you guys think?

We have one, and we hate it. In fact it is no longer even connected. We stopped playing after a month. Biggest waste of a hundred dollars I ever had. So they are fixing some of the problems? And what send it out to all the early adopters? Or just tell us to give them more money for a promise they made things better.
The games were either lame, old, or really expensive. Most of them looked horrible.
I am curious to see what Gamestick has to offer when it comes out - which is whenever all the launch delays stop. Supposed to be this month - we will see.

ones with graphics from this century.DeadManReedeemed wrote:.......Well, what kinda games were you looking for?

In home consoles we always talk about exclusives. When we were playing the OUYA it was almost all ports from Android phones, or really old PC/MAC games. If you can get the experiences elsewhere why even buy an OUYA?

Some things in this trailer are kinda crude.

I guess I should have specified family friendly exclusive titles.
Nothing macabre, morbid, or gross.
I liked the whole free concept to OUYA. Meaning every game has to have some form of a free version. Whether that is playing the first three levels, or thirty minutes of gameplay - each game has some free version.
That clunky controller hurt, and anything half way decent (that we were interested in), we had or can get on another system. Like Sonic 4. And then the prices were really high. I don't get why a 99 cent Android app costs ten dollars on the OUYA. Just get it for an Android device. They look the same. Technically some of them look stretched out on the OUYA.
We also tried to set up the development tools - which are a complete pain, and after many hours we never got it working. They had written and video documentation. Problem was they skipped steps, or things did not work like they said. The system has to connect to the computer working on a game. Which means developing in one spot and playing in another. Constantly setting it up here and then back over there.
My opinion is the OUYA is a pain. Hey you an disagree if you want. That's cool.

I don't disagree at all. But at least they are listening to feedback. Did you download the latest update for it yet?

Probably not. Only have so many HDMI connections and the OUYA got bumped for the Xbox One. It has no place to plug in anymore.DeadManReedeemed wrote:I don't disagree at all. But at least they are listening to feedback. Did you download the latest update for it yet?

I think we have one of those somewhere. The OUYA is such a low priority.

Well, don't count it out just yet, FFG. Who knows: they may do something so shocking you may end up glad you bought one.
