Hello everyone!

I was wondering what any of you knew specifically about the Christian Gaming Industry. Are there any companies out there making games which have good Christian morals?

I am just curious how big the ministry in the Gaming Industry really is.

Thank you for answering my questions,
God bless you all!

I haven't heard much recently to be honest. Left Behind Games markets many Christian themed games and they keep releasing games from the Left Behind series that are awful on so many levels. Because of those, Christian developers are having a hard time being taken seriously and many of the Christian developers I know are making family friendly games that are not necessarily Christian.

Here's a Christian game I made if you're interested: http://www.divinegames.net/?page_id=43" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think it would be good to get a brainstorming session going on among those who would like to get more Christian-themed games out there. Maybe a joint effort would work in coming up with a game that could be extremely entertaining, yet also capable of conveying a good, moral lesson, and depict Christianity in a positive, inspiring light.

It's certainly an uphill climb, though. Look at the aspects that make a lot of games out there so popular. What could be done to make good, honest and righteous behavior exciting enough to encourage people to play it?

In response to your post, is anyone interested in making up a team to make a game and get a good story concept going?

If so, please let me know as I am interested in doing that.

My time has been focused on reviewing games more than making them lately

If you ask me, I think Christian-themed games should be more human. I understand the purpose of them, but I think we need something the player can actually relate to.

If you'd like to talk to people who are involved in the christian gaming industry, check out christiandevs.com.
It's a little quiet now, but a lot of them are aspiring game developers and some full fledged game developers, both in the christian and secular gaming industry.

Just looked at the site. Looks awesome, Arch. :o

Well, I'm learning Flash now. Also making music for a fighting game I've been rolling around in my head.

What is your idea for the game you are making? I am really curious!
