I can't say I blame them.

“The humble sinner will sometimes be interpreted as one of the filthiest in the eyes of man yet immersed in the eyes of God, and this is due to the volition of honesty regarding his own corruption.”

Really, Breen Malmberg, extreme blasphemy?
It's a nice gesture to offer the refund, but seriously? You couldn't go on playing the game? I'm assuming this guy would have no problem with the killing soon to follow.
On the upside, it looks like both the left and right were offended by this game. Ken Levine said his Tea Party relatives thought he was portraying them poorly, and some other relatives thought he was demonizing the labor movement.
Me? I was just impressed by a great game and a great story.

Gyaah! Can't read that article for fear of the spoilers mentioned in paragraph 1 XD
On the topic though... I recall hearing of a game that required the player to commit torture (digitally) in order to proceed with the story. That was a while back now. I think it have come up again since then as well, though I don't follow things as much as I'd like. At any rate, that would offend me. Would it make me want to return a game incomplete? Maybe. Context is everything. Games are, or can be, art and good art can and should offend when it's necessary to make a point.
Of course, good customer service can and should make refunds when it's necessary to mollify an upset customer. I guess I'll develop a more concrete opinion on this instance after I've played the game.

Don't know. I didn't find it to be as horribly offensive as it's made out to be. Controversial? Yes.
You can read my review and you can see my whole opinion on the whole thing.
Anyways, I think this is really stupid, and another reason for people who hate Christians to continue hating Christians, and for others to start hating as well.

I don't agree with everything he says, but at least he breaks it down and analyzes it on a real level and how it as an art connects with him, rather than some superficial "I don't want to commit extreme blasphemy" nonsense. Give it a read. What do you think about it?

I think the article needed a swearing disclaimer, luckily my kids were reading over my shoulder.
Good read other than that.

Check that trash bin over there. I think there's a bottle of wine you could reappropriate.
