Hey, I'm new to this site, but it's the kind of thing I've been looking around for. I really enjoy playing PC games, but I don't like hearing all of the profanity. So, I am wondering if you guys can help me out. Are there some M-rated PC games that you can turn off the foul language or that has minimal bad language. Blood and gore doesn't bother me, but I don't want a game with heavy sexual content. Any replies would really help me out. Also, was hoping for newer games like from 2007 onward. Thanks!

Welcome to the site Jacob. ^_^
Interesting question...may I ask why you want them to be M-rated?
I mean, if you just want a good game, there are plenty of T-raters that rock.
I am...unaware, of any M-rated titles that contain little or no swearing. At least, none for PC. Have you considered (if it is an option) just muting the dialogue and cutting off the subtitles?

The Half-Life series is probably what you're looking for; though I would also recommend the Section 8 series too.

Tribes Ascend is great, fairly clean, shooter if you're looking for multiplayer, not to mention it's free, so bonus!
If you're looking for some chill singleplayer you can try either one of the Portals, Half-Life as mentioned is a great one.
I know there are more, but I can't think of them right now. XD

I forgot to mention it before, but you should absolutely play Battlefield 2. Everyone should.

Thanks everyone for the input. I heard that with the new Black Ops 2 you could tune down the foul language. Can anyone verify this? If that's so I might get that one.

The first one(s) that came to my mind were the Metroid Prime games, but are those are just for the Wii. What about Team Fortress 2?

Dust 514, if you have a PS3. It's a T-rated MMOFPS.

Any of the paintball games are technically shooters and they have E10+ ratings.

I was about to make some sarcastic comment or snide remark, then I realized I own a paintball game. XDFamilyFriendlyGaming wrote:Any of the paintball games are technically shooters and they have E10+ ratings.

I used to love that Quake knockoff that Nerf did. It was too much fun.

You could always try digging up Halo 1 and 2, if you haven't played them a half dozen times already.
They're sort light on language (no F words, at the least), and I think you can mute the voices. Most of the language you'll hear in those games is from the marine squadmates you have.
Half Life, both of them, are good choices like Nate said.
I haven't played them, but I know the Battlefield series can be had on PC. I don't imagine the language is too bad in them (though I could be wrong. O_o).
