I've played the Mario and a couple of Pokemon, those are fun. Chronotrigger is on my bucketlist

I have trouble with those who classify the Paper Mario series as RPGs - especially JRPG - because they certainly don't handle that way. However, the Super Mario RPG that was released for the SNES (Legend of the Seven Stars) is just pure awesome, even with its age.

Really?
I think Paper Mario is a great RPG series.
(Not counting Super Paper Mario, which was actually a platformer if I recall correctly.)
Though yes, Legend of the Seven Stars is also an awesome RPG.
(It's a shame they didn't make a second one.)

Super Paper Mario is the one I've played, so I thought the other games followed a similar format. I may have to track them down now.JOJ650s wrote:Really?

I'm not saying that SPM was a bad game - I thoroughly enjoyed it! I just didn't think it was an RPG - more of a platformer with a few stat-building opportunities thrown in.

Ooooh, that explains it completely then. XD
I have a feeling you'll really enjoy one of the RPG Paper Mario games,
it actually has quite a few things in common with Legend of the Seven Stars.
Actually the Mario & Luigi series also has things in common with Legend of the Seven Stars too. XD
(Though take note I only played the first game so far.)
Haha, I guess the developers of the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games first based their formulas on Legend of the Seven Stars'.
(Not a bad choice ether.
)
Though yes, you'll have to try another Paper Mario game some time.
(My personal favorite is Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door.
)

That game was awesome. Paper Mario almost feels like an off-shoot of Mario RPG, which was a great game. Mallow and Geno should be in more games.My personal favorite is Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door.
On that list, however, I want to play Skies of Arcadia so, sooooo badly! Unfortunately, the GameCube version (Legends) is ridiculously expensive.

Thousand-Year Door is the best Paper Mario game ever. That and Legend of Zelda are the only reasons I own a Gamecube/Wii. However, it still fails to measure up to the sheer awesomeness of Chrono Trigger. It is, quite literally, my favorite RPG. I'm already on my second playthrough.

Yeah Super Paper Mario is a... um.... ah.... hmm. Platformer/RPG/JRPG/Action/Puzzle/Shrooms! The other Paper Mario games are JRPG/RPG. I think they made actually Mario RPG's for DS.
