My cousin happened to get her car stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, and is now being charged with vandalism and is scheduled to appear in court in two weeks. O_o
There's...so much wrong with this. XD She's a college student and can't really afford this. I'm just hoping she doesn't lose her scholarships and such. Please be praying it gets straightened out.
A series of unfortunate events.

This series of unfortunate events rivals even that of the Baudelaire orphans.

By the way, it's also probably rather pertinent to mention that she has done nothing either wrong or illegal.
Some random people were cutting donuts in the park last week and since she was found there with her car stuck in the mud, the police assumed she had done it. Through a bit of further trickery, her car was impounded and she was lead to the police station under false pretenses, where she was unexpectedly (to her) fingerprinted and given all the fancy papers and whatnot.

What the heck, man. SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY ARE MOST OF THE POLICE SO USELESS?!?!?
*sigh*
God, help her. She didn't do anything wrong. And I, of all people should know how it feels to take the wrap for someone else's stupidity. Please help her. In Jesus's Name, Amen.

This kind of reminds me of something that happened to me and a few friends of mine a few days ago: All of us are RAs and we spotted some guy leaving something in the snow in the dark, so we just had to check it out. Sure enough, it was a few cans of unopened beer, but just as we were about to leave to report it, our college security officer completely cornered us with his pick-up. It's a good thing we had a good alibi, otherwise it would have been pretty sad to have four RAs caught with alcohol on a dry campus.
That is really frustrating about your cousin. I despise the misuse and bureaucracy of our justice system sometimes. Will be praying for the right thing to be done.

Serious. Don't trust cops and get a lawyer. Police aren't around to help you, they want to pin a wrong doer and there's no reason for them to not go after you. Lawyers will advise you to never talk to the police, and it's sound advice.
I hope your cousin can get out of this.

my younger brother is autistic. one time he was playing with a tree trying to rip off the branch. the police were there and was about to arrest him. apparently, it was illegal to play with trees. They didn't even seem to care that he was autistic even after i explained it to them.

Cops aren't on duty for justice. They're on duty so they can eat. If their deadline nears up, they'll tighten up on the law and nick anybody doing anything wrong.
Sorry about your bro, DeadMan. Sorry about your sis, Chozon. Sorry we have hungry cops, USA.

Thanks. I'm uncertain as to what she is doing. I hope she's getting a lawyer, even if just to be on the safe side.

I know the feeling. Kind of in a similar situation myself. There's nothing worse than a bad cop.

Well, you were supposed to get out of the way. Didn't you know that?
She's heading to court tomorrow.
I will say that I'm usually on the side of the cops, but this is a bit ridiculous. Seems for every five good cops, there's five who toe the line and/or kick it out of there way.
