Dead Space 3 will know when you swear.

Great for talking hardware, hype, and games outside traditional genres.

What do you think? I think it will encourage more swearing. :(

Maybe it'll do the opposite... swearing will make more necromorphs appear in the room with you. Actually, if you add a microphone into various stealth-based or survival horror games, that could actually add a whole new dimension to those games....

That would make Amnesia and Penumbra about 50 times more terrifying.

And that's saying something.

Honestly, I don't think it'll increase it. It will make PewDiePie's videos far more interesting, though. Assuming he plays Dead Space 3.

I'd considered that in the past. It could really increase the depth.

Until your roommate walks in, "HEY BRO! Look what I brought home!", or a sibling decides to vacuum the house.

Haha, I can see it now.
a guy makes a real life youtube video of [Input stealth game here] dressed up as the main character,
and right before he is about to run across several guards, his bro suddenly appears right next to him vacuuming. :P

Eh, I'd be horrible at Dead Space anyway.

Despite having very good reflexes, jumpscares always get me. And Dead Space ranks among one of the most disturbing/disgusting games I know.

Not to mention I've successfully quit swearing (used to, then realized what a tool it made me, so I quit). So the benefits from the Kinect wouldn't help me. Probably more so because I have a PlayStation 3, not an Xbox 360.

Did I mention that not a lot of M or R rated stuff flows through my household?
Spoiler:
In other words, I may be the illest equipped person on this forum for such a task. :P

If they're amping up the enemies when you start swearing...I'd be dying. A lot.

I think that's a really stupid mechanic. What if your kids are listening?

A better question is, "why would your kids be listening?"

Then they'll learn how to swear like men, not like whiny kids swear.

I need to raise a new generation of psyhopaths, don't I <_<
