All summer we've been preparing to put the house on the market, and earlier this week we had a good friend of the family, who is an excellent realtor, let us know what we need to do to put it on sale, and for how much it can go for.
So, due to the area that I live in, the home will be on sale for $219,900. Which is great news to us, since we were worried we wouldn't be able to put it higher than $200,000.
The house is worth a lot more than that, but the area that we live in is the typical hang out for drug addicts and sellers. We also had a gang related death happen just down the street a few months ago.
The next 2 weeks are going to be hectic, as we will have someone come in to help us arrange our house to make it look presentable for potential buyers, and then we'll be putting the house on the market a week after that.
Please pray for us. We've been living in this hole since 1999, and we are hoping that God will help us find a good place to live. We have been praying about this since last year, and we hope it's all for the best.
Thank you.

We had two people come in and both said they didn't like that we live near a busy street. Which is fair, since this isn't a very family friendly area.
We have someone else coming by tomorrow that are very interested that the house is a potential duplex since we have a kitchen, bathroom, living room and two bedrooms in the basement.
Keeping our fingers crossed. Thank you for your prayers!

Wow! I almost completely forgot about this thread. I have excellent news.
We've sold the house for 210k, upon condition of them selling their home. This usually would be a horrible thing to say, but it's not as big of a blow as we thought.
Also, I'm not sure what it's called, but the contract ends at October 30th. If they don't sell their home by then, we lose the offer. They live in a highly wanted neighborhood, so they promise it won't take too long.
Besides that, we are allowed to still have people come in and check out our home, and give us an offer. Basically, there is also a very high chance we will get a bidding war or a better offer! So the offer we currently accepted is pretty much a safety net.
Hopefully this all makes sense, I'm very excited about all of this. XD
Thank you for all your prayers! Thank God!!

May God be with you during this time.
