What? Okay, so Mario is pretty popular so Nintendo decides to create a Mario series based on tennis. Wow.

1. Mario is videogaming; even my grandmother can recognize him.
2. Mario tennis has been around since the N64, and Mario was the referee in Tennis on the NES. EDIT: I was wrong, it's been around since the Virtual Boy

I hardly played video games as a child. I didn't even know what a video game was. I didn't even know there was a GameBoy in existence. I never really fit in as a kid. Didn't have any friends (except for my cousins).
