All,

My wife, who has posted on the forums as Lovlyn, is having some issue with her lungs. She has Chronic Asthma and usually runs into issues when she has a regular cold with congestion. We've been to the doctor several times now over the past couple of weeks and she has had several regime of powerful antibiotics (for pneumonia, etc) and she is not doing any better. They did an xray of the lungs but didn't really see anything (a few white fuzzies?) and now she's finished those meds and 2 tapers of steroids. The steroids usually beef up her lungs and pull her out of these situations. however, this time, she's still complaining of exhaustion and heavy lungs.

I am going to try to get her into a pulmonologist in the next few days so that we can get some idea about what is going on. The general docs have ran all kinds of tests and just aren't seeing anything.

Please pray for us on this. Prayer works.

We had the chest CT today. ( I guess it's like a cat scan for the chest?) The Radiologist wouldn't come in and talk to my wife about the results though. He just sent the lady back in and all she was allowed to say was that there were no blood clots.

They sent over the results, but I haven't been able to get the doctor's office to pick up the phone for the last few hours. I had to get on their case a bit the other day due to them pushing us off (lab results, etc) for days at a time when we asked for the results. Also, the lady who ran the CT said she had no idea why they told my wife she couldn't get in, for the Ct, until this morning. they had openings all day yesterday.

I have the feeling they are making us wait on purpose. I just hope they have the decency to let us know the results today. The idea of waiting til next week to find out is kind of crazy.

I will reply and keep you all posted.

Thank you,

Graej

Thank you all for the prayers. We got the results back and the doc said that everything is fine. Apparently, the lung infection (congestion, etc) that she had been fighting for weeks was bad enough that it made the outer lining of her lungs hurt alot for quite some time. (best guess according to the doctor) They said that this sort of thing can go on for like six weeks.

She went through 2 sets of major antibiotics and steroids, so we were concerned about it being something else. Thank the Lord that no issues showed up on any of the labs and CT.

I noticed last night that she had a bit more stamina and seemed like she might be feeling better. However, we wanted to get the CT to make sure. Hurting in your chest, and having breathing problems, for roughly two weeks is not something to take lightly. We really weren't sure what was going on as this has never happened before.

Thanks,

Graej

Father, I ask in the name of Jesus that you would help JOJ's wife pull through. Comfort her in her time of need right now. Heal her and deliver her from this lung problem. And please keep the doctors in line because I know how stupid doctors can be thinking that know everything. Please let JOJ know that I feel for him as one of my younger brothers was taken to the emergency room because he is autistic and was behaving strangely. And the doctors we're making us upset and angry because they we're just.....undescribable. Please comfort JOJ, his wife and everyone around and once again please let JOJ know that he is not alone and that I understand how irritating doctors can be.

In Jesus' Name......

Amen.
