I do, but rarely...I never got into Rock Band. The wildly unrealistic Guitar Hero appealed to me more.

I more or less enjoy both, but I tend to like the setlists on Guitar Hero games more than Rock Band. Not that Rock Band has a bad setlist, on the contrary, they are quite good, but Guitar Hero has more songs I like on it.

I prefer Rock Band because of the note mapping.
Historically, it's more accurate, which makes you wonder why all these guitarists on this forum prefer harder versions in Guitar Hero.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

"Harder versions" sums it up nicely. Though I'ma have to tell you...it's not always harder, comparatively. :\ At least not in 3 and 4...I can nail solo's on there that I canna come near playing in real life.

I only really noticed this with World Tour. Which I generally avoid. Otherwise, it's usually so off from the real thing I don't even compare them. In fact, the only way I could pass "What I've done" on World Tour was to play it on expert. Because the timings were sooooooo off.Drewsov wrote:I prefer Rock Band because of the note mapping.

Rock Band still suffers from this on the lower difficulties, but I don't want to die on the solos.

getting a bit bettar, but
some of the timing seems off

Dude... Guitar Hero definitely has Hendrix (though they've now lost the license) and probably some Judas Priest. Rock Band has far more Judas Priest, though. I have Rust in Peace downloaded. Oh wait, Guitar Hero doesn't have those.

Dude... Rust in Peace is Megadeth, not Judas Priest. XD
As for the songs: RB = 2000+ downloadable songs (not to mention most of them being infinitely better). GH = Maybe a hundred downloadable songs? Most of which being well-known songs just so they'll sell more of them and make more money.
I'll stick with Rock Band.
