Thanks again!

Yeah I've never been much of a fan of the more grimdark elements of the Warhammer Fantasy fluff... I mean, you have these people living in a world that's so dark and depressing one wonders why they continue to bother to fight. Not much of a fluff support for battles.

That said, it does represent connections with Christianity, and I like that. In the Medieval times, many European armies carried Christian relics into battle that were anything from pieces of the True Cross to body parts from dead saints. I think that's what they're going for here. Also, notice the motif of the Holy Grail on their shields, which in fluff has nothing to do with the Last Supper but nevertheless is obviously borrowed from Arthurian Legend and therefore is another Christian image. Finally, Bretonnia often uses the Fleur-de-Lys which is another symbol borrowed from Christianity as a representation of the Merovingian Kings.

So yeah. All that stuff.

I sorta feel that way regarding Warmachine too. In that clearly, the Cryx is the largest threat facing the planet, yet the nations continue to fight amongst themselves and essentially feed the undead horde.

I mean yeah, it's a game, and they need somewhat blindly bullheaded leaders so that the players can have a reason to fight. But still. XD Though you do see Cygnar and Khador unite in the Colossal book...And a hint of a Khador/Menoth alliance.

That fluff is cool, though. ^_^ Especially since you pulled in your other character.

So here are a couple of D&D minis I finished recently:

An Ogre... This one's metal, and a very old mini I've had for years and only just painted...

And a Minotaur I acquired a few months ago. It's from Reaper's Bones line.

...and a couple more. These are for my actual characters.

First, my Warlock, from Dark Sword Miniatures:

And my Druid, a Reaper Bones mini:

Awesome work! I love love love the lava base on the Minotaur. O_o

And the bead work on the Druid's is kind of crazy. XD It's so tiny!

Thanks guys!

At the Druid's feet are leaves I got in a pack from the game store... Imagine a hole punch shaped like a leaf... Then they take real leaves and use the punch to make lots of tiny little leaves and sell them in a bag. I have to bags: Autumn colors and brown wintry colors.

The lava pattern under the Minotaur was actually extended out from its original base. I took a 50mm round edge base, glued the Minotaur down, and used green stuff to extend the cracks and plates out to the edges of the new base. If you can't tell where the Minotaur's original base ends and the green stuff begins, then I was successful.

Currently working on a Flames of War army as well as more D&D minis. My gaming group is going to be facing a white dragon soon so you know I had to paint a mini for that... Stay tuned!

I had the old Space Hulk set from the early '90s. Much fun to paint. The Terminators were awful but the Genestealers were spot on.

I've no point of reference, but that feels like it's the same. There were some odd molding issues (like a skull with faces on both sides, stretched into one piece), and the plastic was a bit fragile. But there were almost no mold lines. @_@ I was so impressed with that.

Finished touching up the eyes tonight. I'm not a good batch painter, I think. Working on 20 or so models at one time burns me out.

Having something on TV that you can enjoy with only your ears helps with the tedious stuff. I run Star Trek almost constantly, because I've seen them all a million times so I don't need to look up to know what's going on.

Might help. I usually have random cartoons in the background, or batreps off Youtube.

But I still get impatient and sloppy after model 15.
