Frets on Fire X is one of our most popular reviews. Ultrastar is news to me.

Awesome write-up indeed! Ultrastar is a lot like Singstar on the PS3. (Which I haven't played but have only heard of) Hmmm maybe I should do a write up on it (though I've only played it like once or twice b/c evidently my singing sucks lol.)

The only really good thing about GH is that you don't have to pay for certain songs.Deepfreeze32 wrote:I only really noticed this with World Tour. Which I generally avoid. Otherwise, it's usually so off from the real thing I don't even compare them. In fact, the only way I could pass "What I've done" on World Tour was to play it on expert. Because the timings were sooooooo off.Drewsov wrote:I prefer Rock Band because of the note mapping.
Historically, it's more accurate, which makes you wonder why all these guitarists on this forum prefer harder versions in Guitar Hero.

My younger brother has Band Hero, but not all of the instruments are working.

I've been getting into these again. Used to be totally obsessed with them but yeah. I prefer the Rock Band games (with the exception of GHIII, cuz that game has amazing songs) but I can only play with the guitar hero guitars. I hate the stupid squishy strum bar on the rock band ones..

I've always preferred the GH games to the Rock Band series. I finally nailed down why a short while ago. The GH series has always strode for the mythos of guitarists in rock bands: The craziness, the dangerous stuff, basically the crazy ideas behind rock bands. Rock Band has a sense of "hey now, let's be realistic here" that just isn't as much fun to me.

It's an injury caused be repetitive motion.
Guitarists get it all the time, and it is totally possible to develop it from gaming too.
