I really though you were linking to your gaming club site. With the strong language warning. XDArcticFox wrote:Thanks guys. Getting more love for that on here than I am on my gaming club site.

Heh, no most of the content on my club site is password protected. We do have some publicly visible content though, like campaign pages, blog, a wiki for my campaign world... If you're interested... http://www.ldsknights.org

Some great work here guys!
I'll probably take some photos of my Space Marine army to share.
I'm not the greatest detail painter, but I'm not too bad I think =P
Edit: Here is some pictures of my Razorback that usually carries a tactical or heavy weapons squad

and this is my Rhino that takes my Veterans into battle.

They still need a little more work, but overall I'm pretty happy with how they've turned out.
Edit2:
I've also got an old Space Crusade set lying around that I'm finally getting around to painting. (Because lets face it, playing space crusade with painted miniatures is so much cooler =P )

These were my test models that I painted to convince my wife that painting the entire set would be worth it =D

@Wintercross: Are those Forgeworld decals on the front of the veterans' Rhino? And what's that door on the right side? I don't recognize it but I like it.
I also like the mud effects on the tracks and lower parts. I've thought about doing that with mine but I haven't worked up the courage. I saw a tip once many years ago about mixing brown paint with talcum powder to give it the mudlike consistency, but that seems like something that takes lots of practice.

The Decals are actually from a Sisters of Battle pack =P
The door on the Rhino is actually a few spare parts. The Gold piece is the roof for a Razorback conversion (it came on the Rhino sprue) that was cut down. The hole is the part where the turret usually goes. The other half of that piece it what makes up the front window armor (plus the dreadnaught panel)
As for the hatch, well that is just a regular tank hatch. I basically used spare parts from both the Rhino and Razorback to create extra armor plating on the Rhino. Gotta keep those Veterans safe!
One of the things I love doing is tweaking and modding the models.
I've got a SM captain who is armed with a bretonian knight's lance and used a couple of bretonian spare heads for other marine captains. Got a little sick of the generic bald guy heads you get in the box.
I'll have to try that paint and talc thing and see how it works.
Edit:
Here are my two Dreadnaughts, the one on the right isn't quite done yet.

It's a hit hard to see in the picture, but on the left dreadnaught I used a bit of green ink around the legs/joints/pipes to create the look of hydraulic fluid leakage. The ink works well over the metal paint and looks kind of wet and slimey.
Edit2:
Also, here is my Marine Commander, Philemon Asedies

And a couple of Eldar howling banshees.

I got a few Eldar units because I like the look of them. So I've slowly been putting together a small biel-tan Eldar army for fun. I need to repaint the cloth to green.

I like that Commander... very nice!
This revival of the thread has inspired me to post some pics of some units I finished this Summer but hadn't gotten around to posting yet. Some of them are very blurry, for which I apologize.
First up, a custom Space Marine character with a Thunder Hammer, Castelan Malleus

A Crusader squad, with neophytes and led by a Sword Brother

A custom Vanguard Veteran squad with storm shields and heavy melee weapons

A Land Raider Crusader with some Forge World upgrade parts

An old style Rhino with "modern" modifications to make it compliant with the current rules.

Thanks!
And I'm glad to provide a little inspiration
What is the name of your Chapter? It's homebrew, I assume? Obviously, mine are Black Templars.

Yeah, Brotherhood of Sanctity is the name. I made them back when we had the 'Chapter traits' in the SM Codex... forget which edition it is because it doesn't say on the book.
I haven't bought the newer editions because they removed the rule and made me sad... I based my army around my Chapters advantage and disadvantage.
I had 'Trust Your Battle-Brothers' which allows any Command, Tactical, Assault and Devestator squad to take 'counter attack' and 'true grit' for +3 points per model. Models not in base contact can counter charge after the enemies charge, and all Bolter wielding units count as having a close combat weapon but lose the charge +1 bonus. So basically they get 2 attacks by default.
My assault squad is thus armed with Bolters instead of the pistol and sword combo, a lot of the members are also wielding them one handed with knives or grenades etc. in their off hand. The Assault squad commander did stick with a chainsword and plasma pistol though.
Did a similar thing to a few of my Tactical squad units too.
My disadvantage was 'Death Before Dishonour' which implies my Chapter is particularly stubborn when it comes to hopeless last stands. From memory it means at the end of a match my opponent can request an extra turn on a 4+
That's why I put a lot of battle damage on some of my units like my Razorback and a few other units. To imply that sometimes they don't fall back when they should =P
I'm not sure where the latest revisions would leave my chapter....
:Edit:
Got a couple of pictures of my 'Master's of the Chapter' characters.

Wow that's a classic model! Diggin' the face painted on the right pauldron.
I've decided to get rid of most of my models, to consolidate down to just one army per game. That means I'm getting rid of my Thousand Sons warband. If there's anything in particular you're looking for, maybe I can help you out.
Meanwhile, for Warhammer Fantasy, I'm focusing on Bretonnia, and I've been re-painting some of my knights and making general repairs to get it back into top fighting form. Pics coming soon!
