The first thing you need to do is try and choose your game. This gives them the chance to practice a lot and it also lets them develop a single skill set to a proficient level. When choosing your game, you have to think about whether or not you want a classic game or whether you want something that is up-and-coming. If you want to play a classic game then there will be a lot of competition, but if you play a new game then you won't be going up against anyone who has any more, or any less experience than you. Conversely, a new game may have a way lower level of competition but at the end of the day, there's a chance that it won't be successful as an eSports game. You need to focus on one game if you can as this gives you the chance to become proficient in that game so you can move on to other titles. Of course, if you can take the time to focus on what works for you then this will help you out a lot.

If you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier for you to get into gaming as a whole.

Start Small

Just like in any career, you have to start at the bottom and then work your way up. It may be best for you to start with a smaller competition if you can so you can build your experience a bit. Of course, the more you grow, you may find that you end up becoming more familiar with the eSports industry. This will give you the chance to take part in competitions that have a higher profile overall. You can also find out what your teammates have and what you can offer.

Join and Create a Team

A lot of creative and competitive games require you to work with a team of players. If you're a gamer then it's very easy for you to create or join a team in which to compete. If you don't have anyone who you want to create a team with then you may find that looking for a team online is the way to go. This is one reason why it is so helpful for people to join in with the online gaming community. One of the most important things that comes with being in an online gaming community is that you can develop your strengths as well as your weaknesses. You may also come to the conclusion that you are not great at communicating which is fine, but at least you can take steps to better yourself. Make sure that you prioritize what you can and find others who may be a good fit for you. If you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier for you to get the result you want. Of course, the best gaming teams are the ones that are able to work together so find one that is a good fit for your skills and make sure that you find something that suits your gaming profile. If you can do this then you will soon notice a huge improvement in the way that you game and how much enjoyment you get out of things.

Compete

After you have set up a team and when you have played some of the smaller competitions, you can then try and pursue some of the more serious gaming events. Even though it may take you some time to cultivate the skills needed to join some of these events, the more you learn, the better you will get. At the end of the day, you have to keep in mind that watching videos will help you and that when you win, you will always have something to learn. When competing you do need to make sure that you take care of yourself. If you don't then you may find that your body ends up taking a hit and this is the last thing you need. Taking care of yourself will make you a better gamer and you may also find that it helps you to game for longer periods of time. When gaming, try and make sure you stretch out and that you take steps to try and prevent repetitive strain injuries. It could be that you take care of your mental health too by carrying out various activities. You can do this through social interactions or you can do it through having a good social life. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health at the end of the day, so try and make sure that you take steps to support yourself because if you don't then you may find that your gaming journey comes to an end before it has even had a chance to begin. If you can keep things like this in consideration then it will help you out quite a lot and it will also make it easier for you to get the result you want. Remember that gaming with friends is always a good thing, so try and include this in your activities if you can as it will help you to overcome any difficulties you may be experiencing mentally, especially with competition pressure.
