Cinergy Live Stand-Up Comedy

Thank you Cinergy for providing us with to two tickets for entry and two bottles of water!

Two years ago, we checked out the Wheeling Cinergy Cinema when they first opened . The Dine-In experience is still revolutionary where you can scan a QR code that's unique to your seat and your meal is delivered directly to you. The menu has changed since we last visited and I'm happy to report that the food is still good and reasonably priced.

My husband ordered a burger (they offer two types) and I had barbeque sauce covered chicken tenders (three good sized strips). After tip and tax we were both fed for $35. Pizzas, nachos, cheese fries, funnel cake sticks, and kids meals are also available.

Cinergy in Wheeling is launching a new live comedy experience and they have been during the first week of the month so far. We saw the third show with Jayson Cross who took the stage for forty-five minutes after McHenry local, Stephanie Robertson. With an audience size of less than thirty people, your chances of getting heckled by the comedian are high!

The audience age range was varied with the youngest being fifteen years old and some couples celebrating over thirty years of marriage. With awkward homo/hetero sex jokes and language, I would think twice before bringing your kids to one of these shows. The website rates the material as PG13 but recommends audience members be seventeen or older. There is also a two item minimum purchase per guest, but I'm not sure how strictly that is enforced.

There were some minor technical issues and the lighting could be improved, but that didn't detract from the overall experience much. Tickets for the Jasyon Cross show sold for $25 a seat. I'm not sure if the price fluctuates or not. The December event scheduled for the 7th is slated to have Dwayne Kennedy as a headliner.
