Atmospheric 3D Action Adventure CALX Will Release on PC on June 4th, 2026

Montpellier, France - March 12, 2026 - Italian studio True Colors and French publisher Dear Villagers announced during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase that CALX, an atmospheric 3D action-adventure game, will release on June 4th, 2026 on PC and later in 2026 on PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch consoles. A demo is available on Steam right now for all players.

In CALX, players will explore the contemplative, Moebius-inspired planet of Syro on a solitary journey to liberate it from a mysterious growing corruption known as the WARP. They will travel through vast, colorful landscapes of crystal formations and ancient ruins, uncovering traces of a long-gone civilization and fighting back against the forces that reshaped Syro.

From action to exploration, movement is central to CALX. Players will improve their movement abilities throughout the game in order to increase their abilities in fights, as well as uncover outstanding fresco landscapes that highlight Syro’s diverse environments, and mysterious past.

This journey is elevated by an IDM soundscape composed by Matteo Ferrante and inspired by Aphex Twin, evolving with each biome and the flow of the game, adapting to reflective exploration and stylish combat. Visually rooted in Moebius’s aesthetic, CALX creates a sci-fi world where gameplay, art and music work together to immerse players in an expansive and melancholic world.

“Our intent while creating CALX was to fully immerse players in a distant, alien planet. We wanted to recapture that feeling of isolation and discovery that we felt with games like Metroid and Hyper Light Drifter.” says Gabriele Ferreccio, Game & Narrative Designer. “This can only be possible if every part of the game works towards the same goal: harmony through gameplay, art and music.
