4v4 Bug-Battler “Shroom Siege” Drops Demo on Xbox and PC September 8, 2025

Fight fellow fungi-inhabited insects in an updated demo with 2 new maps

CHARLOTTE – September 4, 2025 – Shroom Siege, the team-based arcade action platformer from developer Upside Down Bird, flings furious fungi in a surprise new demo on Xbox Series X|S during the Xbox demo event, and PC via Steam on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The new demo will offer two special event maps that were only seen during last year’s PAX West and Bumble Bash 5, alongside optimized rollback netcode for a smoother gameplay experience.

Fight as fungus-infected insectoid warriors in intense 4v4 battles. Sync up with teammates to deliver killing blows to opponents with a combination of tight controls and quick-thinking tactics. Emerge victorious in the fungus kingdom in three different ways, each requiring careful planning and a warrior’s reflexes.

Rush to gather orbs as insect minions to tribute, securing a Shrine Victory. Go for blood as a warrior or the deadly Shogun and eradicate the enemy’s Shogun three times for a Shogun Victory — but take care not to get killed first! Patient players can push for the Poop Victory by controlling a dung beetle to move a poopy payload across the map.

Battle in richly illustrated, single-stage maps, where all players have full visibility of the action at any given moment. Duke it out with friends via couch co-op or hop online to battle hardened bug warriors around the world with full crossplay support for Steam, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch players, bringing winged warriors and fungi fighters closer together.

Shroom Siege is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with the Xbox and PC demos launching on September 8, 2025. The demo will feature English text, with plans for additional language support.
