devcom award Celebrates Excellence in Game Development

Six winners across diverse categories recognized for creativity, innovation, and outstanding design -

- Don Daglow honored as "Ambassador" for the games industry -

Cologne, Germany – August 18, 2025 – The opening day of devcom developer conference 2025 ended on a high note with the premiere edition of the devcom award, held on Monday evening, August 18, on the Keynote Stage.

Hosted by Deborah Mensah-Bonsu, the live show featured appearances by:

The evening opened with a live performance by AMuse, singing “In the Flood” from the acclaimed game Horizon: Forbidden West.

For the Indie Games categories, our partners Epic Games Store, IGDA, Spielfabrique and astragon Entertainment selected the winners from all participants of this year's devcom indie expo. For the categories "Game Design Excellence" and "Ambassador" all current devcom speakers were asked to cast their votes.
