Complex indie action-RPG Empyreal adds new customisation options in free update

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK – 7 August 2025: Something has emerged from the Monolith. And it wants to... help you look good? Indie action-RPG Empyreal is today adding a free update which introduces a new character who'll help players to switch up their style whenever they please.



Following the update, players can meet the Mini Mage, who has been forcibly removed from the Monolith for unknown reasons. In return for giving him a home in the Hub, the Mini Mage will allow players to transmogrify armour so they can equip their best gear without sacrificing aesthetics.

In addition, a new Illusory Orb has been added to the Hub, allowing players the opportunity to change their physical appearance at any time for no cost. The Mini Mage also has some wares for sale to help diversify your wardrobe and explore further in the Monolith.

Empyreal launched in May 2025 and has benefited from major updates since launch to accommodate new players and provide a more balanced challenge overall. It is available now on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
