Commemorative sale now live for BOKURA and its recent sequel, BOKURA: planet
TOKYO – August 1, 2025 – BOKURA, the reality-bending co-op-only adventure developed by Kodansha Games Creator’s Lab available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android (coming to PlayStation later this year), celebrates one million units sold worldwide with a commemorative sale for both BOKURA (70% off) and BOKURA: planet (30% off).
From Early Access to today, BOKURA’s touching, two-player-only puzzle experience has created unforgettable experiences for one million players across the globe. To commemorate the million-unit sold milestone, pick up both BOKURA titles at a discount:
BOKURA is available on PC via Steam for 70% off until Thursday, Aug. 14th, 2025
BOKURA is available on Nintendo Switch for 70% off until Monday, Aug. 18th, 2025
BOKURA’s sabotage-fueled sequel, BOKURA: planet (which recently surpassed 100,000 units sold), is also available at a 30% discount on PC via Steam until Thursday, Aug. 14th, 2025 — its biggest sale to date
A pair of young boys with a penchant for adventure bite off more than they can chew when they stumble upon a mysterious carcass that renders them unconscious. They awaken from their mysterious slumber in a new world, where one sees a lush world full of wildlife, and the other perceives his surroundings as teeming with technology.
BOKURA requires verbal communication: only through clever coordination can the boys traverse dangerous mountain paths and brain-teasing traps. Navigate dangerous bridge crossings and terrain hazards, and solve bi-dimensional puzzles for safe passage. Meet other traveling pairs on the mountain, and help them solve their own conundrums along the way.
“I would like to thank everyone who played the game and spread the word about it - hitting 1 million sales was only possible because of you!” says tokoronyori, solo developer of BOKURA. “Saying ‘one million copies sold’ seems simple, but when I think about how each of these one million people thought of someone they wanted to play with, it’s a wonderful feeling. I’m truly proud to have created a game that served as the starting point for that.”
BOKURA is now available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. BOKURA: planet is available on PC via Steam. Both titles support 29 languages in total, including English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Korean, Ukrainian, Thai, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Polish, Russian, Dutch, Swedish, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Hungarian, Romanian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Greek, Turkish, and Bulgarian.
