Grifford Academy Gets Major New Demo at Indie3
A double-hit of news coming out of yesterday's Indie3 Showcase for you.
LandShark Games has just released a major new demo for its coming of age RPG Grifford Academy, alongside a brand new trailer for the game. Tying all this together is the news that Grifford Academy will be launching into Early Access on PC/Steam on July 8th, 2025.
“Our intention with Grifford Academy was to boil down the RPG formula to its most engaging component parts, without the baggage of complex systems,” said Paul Naylor, Founder of LandShark Games. “We wanted to craft an experience that puts character growth front and center, both in terms of the choices and consequences affecting combat, but also the relationships connecting a group of teenagers that start out as classmates, but become something much more.”
Grifford Academy is a “lite academia” RPG with a streamlined combat system, weaving together turn-based strategy, ambitious isekai storytelling, and a rich character growth system. Players will join Erika, Viva, and Cap as teenage turmoil clashes with ancient magic and sinister forces in the mystical book realm of Caldria.
The expanded demo - available now as part of the Indie3 showcase - focuses on the opening hours of the game, featuring a brand new introduction showing previously unseen cinematics and backstory, introducing players to the book realm of Caldria.
