This is where you guys let me know about the special skills you'd like recognized in the game.
This can be experience with weaponry, hunting, blacksmithing and welding, or biology.
What I'd like to get sorted out quickly is experience with weaponry, particularly firearms.
I'm separating them into 4 categories for now:
Pistols
Shotguns
Rifles
Assault Rifles
Let me know if you guys never used it before, have used it a little, regularly use it, or are an actual expert in it.
If you happen to be an expert or at least quite competent in combat(even if just sparring. I hope just sparring...) with any other weapon, please let me know here. I'll give you attack bonuses accordingly.

Proficient with pistols and revolvers, ditto archery, trained shotgun with a champion trap shooter, fairly good rifle shot, got plenty of practice with my AR before I sold it. Grew up with a knife in my hand, some hundreds of hours spent with hammers of all sizes, axes etc.
Proficient at welding with SMAW and GMAW equipment along with oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting. Trained carpenter.
Trained tracker and trapper, avid outdoorsman in general. Well practiced off road driver.

Haha, my class "Free Lancer" kinda fits me pretty well in this case.
(I know how to do quite a lot, but am not a professional at any of them currently.
)
I have fired rifles and shotguns quite a bit, though not regularly,
and a few times I have also used pistols and an assault rifle, (Aka, the AK-47.)
though I only fired one bullet at a time on it, I hear those bullets an't cheap.
I also have experience in black power rifles, and making lead bullets for them.
(Though it would be unlikely to find the tools for molding.)
Archery and knife and hawk throwing is something I do fairly regularly.
Blacksmithing is something I have done a few times and know how to set up,
but finding a forge, anvil (or railroad rail.), grinding tools, and someway to not make a lot of noise... would be unlikely.
(Not to mention it can take awhile to hammer down the metal... though we do have Oro...)
I learned a year or so worth of mixed marshal arts.
I have been told I have a great kick, but I find my punches rather lacking.
There are also a couple techniques I learned for getting out of grips.
This probably not really note worthy, but I have fought with foam swords quite a lot, and with a quite a verity.
(One handed swords, two handed long swords, curved katanas, and some times I also used shields or dual wield.)
Granted, those are rather light, and I wasn't taught any techniques. (save a small amount of ninjutsu.)
So, I pretty much taught myself to block, avoid, and strike through just battling,
which is not ideal for battling experienced sword users, but I suppose zombies don't use swords...
(Sorry I went into so many details, I am just not really sure what my skill level is when it comes to quick and easy labels.)

For my reference:
On your Feats list on your character sheet, add the following:
LAC, since you mentioned you are a competitive shooter, let me know what you do best in and then set it as Greater Weapon Focus. (+2 attack roll)
JOJ, I gave you Clinch Escape. This will give you a +1 whenever trying to escape a zombie grab.
Skill Focus gives you a bonus +3 on any roll I ask involving that particular skill. Stephen, if you are building a shelter with wood, you'd get +3 on your roll.
Greater Skill Focus gives you +5.
And yes, I am butchering these D&D skills and feats.
Let me know how you guys feel about it. If you felt it's off, unrepresentative, or unfair, I'll hear you out. Just keep in mind I have final say and I hope you'd be accepting of my choices.
Thanks guys for letting me know.LAC wrote: archery from primitive , Olympic Recurve, Limited, Barebow,

I'm somewhat proficient at blacksmithing, and it can be done with little more than a bag of charcoal, a pit, and a few rocks. But like Jo said, it's the time setting it up.
That said, I've never fired a gun in my life. I am, however, accurate with paintball and airsoft, I'm a purple belt in Tae Kwan do, and I spent my childhood fighting epic battles with wooden blades, if that counts.
I can also cook, do electrical work, and play music.
Zombies dance, right?

I guess my only qualm would be the absence of hawk and knife throwing.
Though if that causes an imbalance then I am completely fine with them skills you listed.

I know right!LAC wrote:LOL!!! foam swords are epic we use to make them out of PVC and foam we fought for hours on end

Wow, that's really cool. ^-^Chozon1 wrote:I'm somewhat proficient at blacksmithing, and it can be done with little more than a bag of charcoal, a pit, and a few rocks.
