I looked at a playthrough. It looks awesome.

Which one? There are several (the one on the SNES is legendary; the Gamecube is just pretty OK).
I've played the NGC one, and it's fun, though brutally difficult for some reason. Never managed to get past the first few story missions, though I did alright in the cup races.

I have only played the Gamecube, and GBA versions.
I actually got pretty far on the gamecube game,
and when I say me, I mean friends I knew at the time I had the game.
Though I never did get past the last story mission...
I'll have to try out the SNES game sometime though.

Yeah, I heard this game was tough. But that's probably the reason why it's good. It's fast, too. REALLY fast.
