Post your random thoughts here.
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

There's no such thing as random. Not in computers, nor in the universe. Every thought is the result of a set of (theoretically) predictable or consciously controlled previous thoughts.

I'd agree, but frankly, on a quantum level, we just don't know. I'd like to believe it's a deterministic machine hidden away from us, but we can't say.ArcticFox wrote:There's no such thing as random. So here's some random thoughts:
Schrodinger's cat.
Quantum Superposition.
Particle Wave.

By refusing to answer the question, and instead talking about how nothing is random, YOU are being random.ArcticFox wrote:Nope.Nate DaZombie wrote:Do you see the irony here?ArcticFox wrote:There's no such thing as random. And yet even then one could argue that my response was random enough to meet the criteria of the thread and thus I didn't refuse to answer itNate DaZombie wrote: By refusing to answer the question, and instead talking about how nothing is random, YOU are being random.

Have I become so predictable? Bah.ArchAngel wrote:No, I actually found that rather predictable considering who Arctic is. As it would be predictable that I'd mostly agree, but have to point out the quantum physics issues.

Heh and that conversation, like the Korean War, is not technically over, just in a state of ceasefire.
