You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

I can't say that I've ever experienced hypnagogia, but I do die gruesome, painful deaths in about 85% of my dreams. It's always incredibly vivid and I feel the emotions of living my last moments every single freaking time. It doesn't make sleep all that enjoyable. Pales in comparison to hypnagogia, but when it comes to dream-related experiences making sleep a world of misery... I know the feeling. @__@
Though I did achieve lucid dreaming once. I had total control over the dream, but then I started waking up out of excitement, so I tried spinning in the dream because that's supposed to keep you asleep. But then I lost control and started vomiting uncontrollably into a sink and was like "WHY CAN'T I MAKE IT STOP" Then I woke up. Everything felt so freaking solid and touchable, though. It's crazy stuff. But I don't think I recommend it. Not unless you want to risk vomiting ceaselessly.

I've moved away from it, but i used to lucid dream a lot. It just took me a bit of practice.
Anyway last night was literally hell. I woke every hour at least, often to my name being called at first, then the voices started getting more menacing. I could swear I heard " you know he's dead isn't he?" at least once. And...other things. Then there was the eyes in the ceiling. And the ear splitting screams. Then what I can only describe as a shadow person. Not the usually turning your head to fast kind...the standing by the dresser across from the foot of my bed stroking my hatchet for several minutes kind. My pistol was cased at the foot of my bed....
I think that I'm gonna go back to sleeping with a gun for a while.

I'm going to tell you something: those "shadow people" aren't hallucinations.
I lived in a house where all of us had that happen. Repeatedly. Night after night.
Not fun at all.

That's good to know
I'm not crazy, I'm really seeing homicidal shadows. I really hope I don't shoot at it tonight, maybe it wants a cup of tea and some crumpets.
Or maybe it's a pretty girl who's too shy to talk to me.
...no Drew...I'm pretty sure it wasn't a hallucination. Cmon, you know I'm not the passive type. Dude...
I pounced the motherlovin' son of a lich. I swear, I've worked in forty below weather with a high wind...but that thing made that look like the Sahara.

Crazy stuff...
Can't say I've ever had that happen. And after watching Insidious, I have no desire to experience any sort of haunting. XD

Questioning as I am about God at times, I know that there is a spirit world and there are demons and ghosts. And that, my friend, was no ghost.

Which means it's not dead yet. I see this as a problem. Seriously, it,s only midnight and it's been around twice.
Seriously my room's freezing, I have the heat maxed.

When I had that stuff happen around me, the only thing I could do was recite Psalms. Left the Bible open to Psalm 92.
And I didn't sleep at night.
Nothing else to do.

Wow this is pretty serious stuff you guys are talking about. I cant say I know what you're going through cuz to be honest, I had no clue what hypnagogia was until reading this thread, and geez Oro, i don't blame you for wanting to sleep with a gun. That seems like the worst kind of hell on earth I could ever imagine.
Oh and one more thing, why on Earth is this in the nonsense column?!

No, my house isn't haunted. Only demons here are my personal ones, and they are the ones that want me dead.
