Theory

I've had a theory rolling around in my head for some time. People often drive their cars like they push shopping carts in grocery stores.

I'm confused. That's a fact, so where's the theory?

Nobody has ever told me it was fact, but I'm glad someone agrees.

Well, I sometimes say. "Wow, it's like a highway in here." in a Walmart.
Now if we just had the power to swap people's cars with shopping carts for a day, we could test this theory.
Be part of the answer, not part of the problem.

I'll validate this.
I'm surrounded by people who never look at what they're doing and trouncing about slowly, while I'm trying to maneuver around them, safely and swiftly.

Someday I'm going to just crack and push my way through.
There's going to be a horrified old lady with an overturned car(t).

It seems that the most annoying of people, are certain groups of people who own big vehicles like trucks and suvs, because it seems as though this is what they are likely thinking.... "Get outta my way, I rule the road!" And then, there is the group of people who are instantaneously distracted by anything in their car. "Oooooh, I need to call x on my flashy I-Phone!" or "Oh, I don't like that song, I'd better change the radio station." or "I've got to look for my makeup." While they are driving and not paying attention.

And... if you have ever been aggrivated by shoppers in general, then you may or may not relate to this.
Spoiler:
And in the grocery store, if you have ever worked as a bagger or a cashier, then you have no doubt run into certain groups of people that LATCH onto their shopping cart with dear life, afraid that if they let go... then something bad will happen. This type of individual can also be combined with the following other types of people. The second is the type that has some type of thing where the baby seat is at, it can be a coupon box, a purse, what have you. They need to look in this thing to look for all their stuff, meanwhile... You are forced to wait for them to get done, when al they could have done is simply move what they are looking in. The third, are the people who seemingly don't care about your need to place their groceries into their cart. As you wait, their more fragile stuff is getting destroyed by their more heavier of items. And then, they get mad at you for smashing their eggs, or their bread (Because we all know that the molecular and atomic structure of all bread is destroyed, once it is dented in the slightest.)

Over here, it's usually the truck and suv drivers that drive recklessly. They annoy me a lot when I drive my Accent.

About your story, I don't think I've ever seen someone deal with customers like that before when I worked as a clerk. Then again, I never really looked in that directions anyways.

Over here, people are more distracted by what I call "shinys". These are the same sorts of people that usually have their shopping cart loaded. So, it can become tiresome at times, because you know management is going to look at you, if anything happens to their stuff, even if it were the customer's own fault.
